Our parasols are covered with high-quality fabrics in a range of different colours and offer UV protection of over 98%. Choose the colour that suits your interior, your balcony or your garden.
High-quality UV protection
Every parasol offers protection against bright sunlight, but not all of them protect against harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. Although only a fraction of them reach the earth, UV rays can cause severe skin damage due to their intensity.
All Suncomfort by Glatz fabric parasol canopies offer UV protection of over 98%. This means that 98% of harmful UV rays are filtered through the fabric and only 2% get through.
This means that, with UV protection from Suncomfort by Glatz, it takes 50 times longer for the same dose of radiation to reach the skin. This factor 50 is defined as a sun protection factor.
When using sun protection, it is also important to pay attention to radiation caused by reflection from the surroundings, e.g.:
- window panes
- water and metallic surfaces
- highly reflective materials
Fabric quality
To make sure you can enjoy your parasol for a long time, we cover all Suncomfort by Glatz parasols with a high-quality fabric canopy made of 100% polyester, with a weight of 180 to 220 g/m2. All fabrics offer a good lightfastness rating of 6, which means that the first colour changes in the fabric appear after 160 days at the earliest.
Even a short and light rain shower will not harm your parasol thanks to its water-repellent qualities.
